VIVES updated its certification of recycled content

Recently, VIVES Azulejos y Gres has updated its certificates of conformity which certify the minimum content of recycled materials incorporated into its product, according to the ISO Standard 14021: 2017 (Environmental labels and declarations. Environmental statements - Environmental labeling Type II).

This voluntary certificate is intended to communicate, to those interested, all the environmental information of the product in relation to the percentage of recycled materials incorporated into the manufacturing process of the ceramic tile.

Specifically, the certification has been awarded for a wide variety of models within the category of glazed porcelain stoneware and white biscuit singled-fired porous wall tiles, having recycled material of between 14% and 27% in porcelain tiles, and between 20 and 28% for wall tiles.

This information is very useful for obtaining points in the certification of building projects based on criteria of sustainability and high efficiency, such as the LEED international system (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
